I had som more time for running yesterday ang I got 12 runs on the tires. With unchanged setup from rubber I got down to 57.5 mm all around using two set of rear tires that I alternate between. I am pretty much maxed out to keep the rideheight on my Eryx around 5 mm now. There is still several good runs out of the tires and I guess if you going ot compete where you start But for "hobby" use they could be atleast one mm more to start with to mach the regular rubber tires I think. Swedish national champion when Hagberg and Wilck is not home Niclas Nilsson drove the car and shaved of 0.35 seconds per lap down to 11.12 swichting from his 1/12 to my car a couple of laps. His time with 1/12 with 6.5 on the track 10.006

Default Small cars too

Yesterday one of the guys at our local track had an opportunity to try out a set of the brand new Gravity spec tires for 1/12th scale. They worked great ....... right on pace with the JFT and/or CRC specs that the rest of us have been running.
Antimullet likes this.

If I was unclear I meant run foam touring, not WGT.

If someone is holding a big race, why not field some spec foam as an exhibition class? Only allow ten entries, one or even no qualifiers, just one race. It would be a cool tech demo, in my opinion.

Already done. Canadian Nationals in Toronto.

That event had way too many classes. To meet schedule they had to run 10+ cars in the heats along with only 5min heats.

Well, if they ran it as a full class with multiple qualifiers and the like, they didn't need to. Keep it simple.

Does anyone know if a track has used foams in a weekly club race. I would like to suggest it to my club but I want to hear a success story first
