If mod foam sedan happens, it will bring back some of the old guys. If people get it out of their head that mod is a 4.5 motor, it might help the perception of what is intended by running a hard spec foam tire. I'm waiting for someone to figure this all out, slap in a 13.5 or 10.5 and proves the point by kicking absolutely everyone's ass.
That was my philosophy... I use to run 13.5 boosted in mod at our local parking lot track and win nearly every race. While everyone else was overshooting the corners and hitting boards, I just held a good line and made consistent laps.
The track is a bit bigger now so I typically run a mild setup on a 4.5t motor.

fyi. the rears fit my gizmo perfect but the fronts have all kinds of rubbing. need wider front hexes or spacers to move the wheel away from the steering arms.

Stock is highly regulated and foams will be very hard to regulate from many perspectives. Sure it would be easier to drive and I'll bet a lot of fun but it's stock.
I dont Think that One persons ideals should limit what other people may want to do.
You just said it , It would be easier to drive and a lot of fun thats what stock Should be.
If you opened up the the stock rules to use foam . it would take over.
If you are talking of spliting classes , Classes evolve ( or devolve)

Because the cost of manufacturing has little to do what people will pay for something in todays world.

did you add weight to the car? From what I’m seeing, the new foams run about 45/50g lighter than the USGT premounts.

Just switched tires. I’ll have to check the weight difference.

Its about 20-30g difference .
But if you were to add that weight to the car is would probably be even faster outside .

I don’t know why people are concerned about foams fracturing onroad. If this forum is any indication. Only a few set have even been sold.

Well I’m assuming that since only a few people have been nice enough to convey their experience with them.

true , i dont see a big demand here in florida since we only have 1 carpet track in the state. 95% of our racing is outdoors and the Solaris 36s work great

Why does everyone want to ditch rubber when the cars are finally optimized for it? Foam was ditched was left long ago because the rest of the World didn't and still doesn't run it. This is why you don't see many top American onroad racers anymore, they became obsolete when rubber hit.
