I was thinking about the AE F6. It being so new and unproven is a thought. Nice looking car tho

I ran Associated F6 over summer. Held up to very well. Two other switched to the f6 from XRay after trying mine.

I think the VBC FXM is a good F1...Mines been GOOD....and you can get everything you need from TQracing out of Cal...for it and the other VBC line of TC and PanCar parts...

If you're running on asphalt:
Tamiya TRF102

On carpet:
CRC
the new Roche Evo
VBC FXM
the Team's F6
Xray X1
The Exotek F1R3

Pick your poison!

What does the TRF102 have over the others on asphalt? Ive read the F1R3, esp with IFS, is good to great on both.

a "T" bar. I think (just my opinion, mind you) that any of them could work on any surface. I haven't run an F1 on asphalt in a long time but have seen on here, among other places that the TRF102 works well on asphalt - and yes, the complete Exotek front end will only make it better.

The original poster "sounds" as though he has experience with F1 class,
"Cant decide on which F1 platform to run next year. ..." makes it sound as though he/she is just looking to change things up (ie, a new brand or something).

Honestly, I'm not really sure what the op is looking for, as no info is given about the track that the new chassis will be run at. I just threw a bunch out there - and there are even more choices.

Such as the TRG 117 conversion (always wanted to build one of these up)

TRF102 has a flexible carbon chassis and a T plate which can aid in low traction conditions and bumps.

With that said, on our asphalt tracks, the TRF102 is slower than Xray, Roche, etc. So it depends on your trqck.

I was kinda wondering the same thing. Just started racing and had been in a novice class, running a TT02. Stepping up to VTA, but I had been checking out the F1 races as well. Currently leaning towards the Associated, but saw that Tamiya has a F104 Pro II coming out in January.

I mainly run indoors on what I believe is the CRC black carpet.

Any thoughts?

I run on the black Carpet - CRC-Roche EVO- ASC F6 and X ray (16) all work great. also the CRC tires work the best indoors.

The AE F6 is very much like the Xray, or Roche car. The one thing about the AE car that is better than the rest is the new rear pivot design. It is bind free. All F1s with the exception of Serpent and AE now use a "puck" in back that bolts to the chassis and two side links. If you hit a board, that puck can move and then binds up the rear pod. you constantly need to keep checking it. The AE car still has a rear pivot but it does not bolt to the chassis. It is designed to slide causing a bind free rear end. I think this is huge. Plus, companies are coming out with cool stuff for the car now as well. Jconcepts has a body already marked for the AE car. The Protoform fifteen is the best looking body though and what most people use. AVID is making some trick front arm mounts. Fenix is making an aluminium chassis for the F6 should you desire that.
