Apparently 1/12 will be pitting outdoors and racing indoors on carpet.

Nope Daisuke came in third. He did how ever hit Masami which caused him to take a 10-second penalty which knocked him back from 2nd to third. Read this straight from the Car Action issue.

are they going to resurface they Piste, i was told that they going too, do to the condition it was in during the offroad World Championship....

and yes the track in europe are big, more suited for 5th scale..but mostly outdoor, and yes they race in the rain...

and it aint that bad either....must be smooth on the throttle, like driving in the snow...

The track layout will be a bit different for the worlds...
I struggle to see how more than 2 (almost identical) layouts can be used on that track!

The building to the right also looks to small for a 12th scale track; I would think there is another building out of shot where the 12th event will be held.

Mark, yeah the building that they are running 12th in is out of sight on that pic. That tarmac that you can see next to the on rd track is a basketball court if i remember correctly, then next to that is the indoor hall. As has been said, it is the building that is used for pitting with the racing on the off rd/tarmac track. IIRC It was an indoor Basket ball (or similar) hall, as there is grandstand style seats on 2 sides.

Default Batteries for the Worlds

Since it isn't the US ROAR rules, will the IB4200/GP4300 cells be legal for the Worlds?

IB 4200 / GP 4300 will be legal for the Worlds.
But the big question is brushless...
Will anyone race brushless...?

The marketing potential for someone to be the first running brushless at the Worlds is so big, I suspect there will be at least a handfull running. And a "secondary" world championships to see who finishes highest up.

Looking forward to 1/12th on carpet - that's how we do in in Europe. My money would be on Dave Spashett, although never rule Masami out. I hear carpets are being laid in Japan for practice

As for touring car there look to be a wide range of potential winners. Remember in 2004 when the D-final looked full of previous champs...

Go Teemu
