Here's a picture of my car in its current form. I've added a few extra AMX pieces and some of my parts might be slightly different than what shipped with official GZ2 kits. I've been helping CT test some things. Shocks are Xray ULP anodized black.

May i know which are the AMX pieces that can be used for the car?

Well in total, on the normal car, the steering rack, axles (front and rear), and the upper dual camber link composite pieces(that mount to the hub). It uses a similar style hub as the AMX, but i believe it is different.

On his car the additional components are the aluminum toe/steering plates on the hubs.

Would love to put a "Made in the USA" sticker on the box. But sourcing a lot of Awesomatix parts makes it difficult to achieve. Technically, we could get some stuff made, but we would never copy any of Oleg's designs and manufacture elsewhere. We buy straight from Mr. Babich.
I appreciate this attitude regarding intellectual property more than a simple "like" would indicate.

We need to engineer a rear body post extension kit that puts the rear posts in the GZ1s position. Id hate to have to drill new holes in my old bodies.
Let me contribute my input to advancing the design of the car in some way.

Hahahaha.

Default diffs for the gizmo

hiya Christian,

I'm quite keen to get a gz2 carbon spec but would like to ask some questions first.

Are the front and rear diffs still 3d printed items? Are any parts of the car 3d printed?

Is it possible to gear this car for Mod motors or is it basically a stock motor car only? from both a durability point of view (is it going to eat spurs) and gear mesh spacing point of view.

Thanks!

Alexander

Does anyone have set up sheets available for the Aluminum GZ2 on Black carpet? I'll be running USGT and 21.5 TC.

Also, what battery is preferred for the Gizmo?

Im going to be trying my car in USGT this weekend using the set up Cristian used to dominate a few weeks ago.
In terms of packs for USGT, I love my ProTek 6100 LiHv and Psycho Cells G-Series LiHv packs. Great packs with lots of lunchband staying power even when pushed hard.

Christians full throttle champs set up from the old thread is what the team had been the suggested starting point. http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...mo-gz1-58.html
is currently working on a new set up sheet for the gz2.

The diff's, spool, and center pulleys are 3d printed. You can run the car in mod without any issues, you actually strip less spur gears, because there is twice the surface area, to take the same load amount. I have been running the Gizmo brand since it came stateside, about 2 years ago, and have yet to strip a gear(saying that, ill probably eat a few this week... haha)

is currently working on a new set up sheet for the gz2.

Thanks, I will start with that one and see how it performs.

One more question for the community: I would really like to use a traditional ball stud type set up for the camber links instead of the screw from underneath and ball nut type set up. I think I can see normal type ball studs being used on Syndromes car in the pic. Are they being used with a nut underneath or is there another option?
