Default Shock oil weight for a TC?

HEy guys I'm used to running 30,40 and even 50 weight oil in by off road RC's. I'll be getting my first TC soon from a friend for cheap. It's a Tamiya TL01.

I was wondering what a good middleground shock weight is. For now it's just bashing in the streets and parking lots, no racing yet. So I need something that will do well under most circumstances.

Also can anyone rcomend a good 26mm tire that doesn't ware fast?

Thanks

BTW I love the smileys here hehe

You're current shock oils are in the ballpark - 40 is an ok starting point for most cars.
