I'm sure it would be a competitive truck. Think I read somewhere it helps to put the gt diff rings in it. That may have been for a different truck though. Main downfall I've heard about the mugen truck is it's hard to find parts. I'm sure they are available online though.

The Mugen is a very competitive truck, and IMO, handles just like the Losi but is twice as durable. The truck handles great, has a plush suspension, and parts are pretty easy to find. The only thing I would stock up on would be diff outdrives, universals, and rear hubs (if you are using plastic ones) Otherwise, the truck is bulletproof.

Carolina's RC is the place to find parts for your MBX-5, MST-1, 777, XB8, Jammin CR, and Jammin CRT. John has the best prices around (especially on kits) and offers great shipping prices!

Just my .02!

Parts for mugen cars in australia are not a problem. Your LHS should be able to get them through Model Motor Sport (they will not sell to the public). The MST-1 has won the Australian title last year and the year before i believe (if i am wrong someone will correct me). So the car is more than competitive out of the box.

Would it be competitive with a force.12 or a hyper .12. And a hitec agressor controller.
