Yah, JQ is really expanding in the US right now. Lots of Blacks and Greys.

I haven't driven a Tekno, but I can tell you that the JQ is really easy to drive and what I call 'honest'.
It drives and responds to setup changes exactly how you expect, no surprises; and it is adaptable to different conditions.

from what I saw of the buggy versus the Tekno's being driven at the time including one myself, I really liked how confident it looked relative to steering it had, etc. It turned my head thats for sure.

For me, the Grey edition is much more stable than my EB48.4. I never felt like I could get my Tekno to stop being twitchy. My lap times weren’t significantly better immediately, but I was much much more consistent lap to lap which in turn made me faster immediately. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about coming to JQ from Tekno. I raced Tekno for 4 years prior to coming to JQ last year.

Seems like Joseph changed some things in his Grey Edition. Really like the new motor and center diff mount but I'm not too sure about the battery tray. Sure it looks really fancy with the carbon but it seems like you have to remove 5 screws in order to change the battery.

Sorry for the horrible Quality!

Another JQ driver from Germany created this so you can route your cables safely.

I usually route them around the back but it might be interesting for people who prefer shorter cables etc.

@wind00

What do you mean exactly by power?
If you mean ESC/motor I guess you can never go wrong with a Hobbywing XR8 Plus combo Most people I know race them and they are great!
Got mony combined with a Team Orion 2100 kV motor and everything works perfectly fine

Just finished my "carbonized" Grey Edition

The charger stands still needs some screws etc. to be final.

You actually just need to remove 2 screws to change the battery. The other 3 screws are for the battery stops, and the only reason you'd need to loosen those, is for width adjustment.

Default Center Diff cover

I need that center center diff cover, unfortunately I have had two sensor wires get caught up in the Center diff. I'm pretty sure I have it fixed now to where it should never get caught up again but it still makes me nervous while on the track.

looks like a true Black edition E-car is on the way:

https://jqracingusa.com/kits/

Sounds like the changes are more to the middle of the car, with the front and rear assemblies being the same.
