TLR for Bashing?
Sup, guys i used to do on road nitro and a bit of off-road. looking to get a decent SCT to race as im in Florida now and they do alot of off-road. I am looking at the TLR TEN SCTE 3.0. Im jus wandering if this truck is any good for bashing. Want to be competitive for the most part but would like to do a lil bashing here and there.
Also another recommendations of kits would really be appreciated thanks fellas!

Depends how you bash. I like to drive in different terrain and keep the truck under control and just have fun and be somewhat responsible. Other bashers throw caution to the wind and don't stop till every vehicle they bring goes home in a box. I wouldn't have a problem taking a losi to a bash session.

Thats the thing bro. I wouldn't try be too rough with it. Mostly just to practice driving it better (turning and jumps) but im concerned about the occasional crash or two.

I would like to try it on different terrains aswell.
Also it seems like the TLR SCT 3.0 is the best all around kit to buy.

Should work. There are usually not a lot of ridgid Specs needed for Bashing except durability.
In thriry years of being in the RC hobby i have never used a Racing vehicle for bashing
Although I do have a monster truck that I can play within the driveway

Was thinking between the TLR SCT 3.0 or the Pro SC. the guy at the local hobby shop advised me not to get the Pro SC. lol

An ARRMA Senton might fit the bill. I have seen Senton rollers sell for around $ 200 and the truck is great for bashing.

Or the Tekno SCT410.3?

You want to race and bash a 4wd short course, there's only two reasonable answers: TLR and Tekno. I have raced both SCT410.3 and SCTE 3.0. For me, I prefer the TLR SCTE 3.0. It's more neutral, whereas the Tekno is much more aggressive handling. Also, the SCT410.3 nose dives like crazy off jumps (search that thread, it's ridiculous.)
Now if you are more into bashing than racing, I might lean towards the Tekno. Not saying the TLR isn't tough, because it certainly is. But almost everything on the Tekno is just built chunkier. One downside on the Tekno: the pivot braces are a weak point and upgrading to the aluminum (at least in the rear) is almost a necessity if you run on a track with larger 1/8 scale jumps or if you bash. TLR comes with aluminum pivots out of the box.

I bash the hell out of my SCT 2.0 between race weekends. Proper maintenance and you should have no problem.
I launch it off of a rough edge of my paved driveway and haven't broke a thing doing that. I've broken more(all of them) parts on the track than I have bashing. I bash it through grass and on pavement and on dirt ramping anything that has a lip to it with no problems.
I think the SCTE is built more rugged than the 2wd SCT so you should be plenty good.

Really appreciate the feedback guys. I can really see myself getting the TLR in a week or two. Gonna have to look around for electronic suggestions next lol.

if you check it out after you run it and keep it maintained it should be fine.

Don't rule out the ARRMA 1/8 stuff either.
The Senton is a COMPLETE BEAST!
However I have a 3.0 1/8 buggy and its solid but the Senton is more bash friendly.
