Default tips and tricks

hey guys, i'm just getting into off road, i have an xb8. what are some of the tips and tricks that i can do to a buggy to help prevent things happening during a race that will allow me to finish. i know the basics such as loctite. but any other suggestions that you have learned over the years would certainly help

thanx

Use a fail safe and return spring. Also make sure your antana has a lock in antana tube mount.

Kerry
I double up the collars on my throttle linkage and the spring for the exhaust header. I also put new clutch bearings before the main.

This car goes together really nice. I had no issues when I put mine together. If you got a "free" reciever pack replace it. Mine never took a charge worth anything and my buddies fell apart. Not sure what is wrong with there reciever pack (actually it is a MT18 battery they give you as a reciever pack) but they did not make it through shipping for some reason. All other aspects of the buggy are GREAT! Follow the instructions carefully. Check out http://www.rcamerica.com/ as there is a dedicated Xray board over there were you can get great info on this car from.
