Default O.S. RG Question Shaft type

I am looking to pickup the RTR version of this motor and I noticed that there is a non-pullstart version that doesn't use a Pilot Shaft (is that correct?)

This will be going into a 1/8 scale buggy and I wanted to know in what do you use the special version with the different shaft in?

I want the RTR motor as I will be putting a tigerdrive on it.

The shaft that you would ideally want is a "P" shaft. This is the one that is longer and supports the clutch bell. If you have a short shaft engine it's no tragedy. Ofna makes a clutch nut that "adapts" that style with a an extension built into the nut.
