Red face Arrma motor in slash 4x4?

I bought a slash 4x4 roller and I was wondering if the arrma KRATON 6s 2050kv motor would be a good choice. I will be using a hobbywing ezrun sc8 120 amp esc with it. Thanks in advance

You'd have to figure out a way to fit at least a 4s lipo in the Slash or else it won't really be worth it

I have a 35c 3300mah that I will be using. I don't race or anything just bashing around the yard and fields. I don't need it to be stupid fast just faster than the stock traxxas velineion. If needed I would buy a 4s if it seemed slow. On 3s will this setup be faster than the stock system?

On 3s this might be about the same speed as the stock VXL system. Perhaps a bit slower. But you can probably gear it higher. Also I would take some measurements of the motor and the ESC to make sure they'll both fit next to each other since it's kind of a tight fit in the Slash 4x4 chassis.

I was looking at the castle 1410 3800 4 pole and thats the one I really want. It seems they stopped making them because the only one on the castle website is a sensorerd motor. I found a sensorless 1410 on ebay but I'm worried that it is a fake castle motor since they stopped making them. If its not too much of a pain, could you provide me with a link to the real castle 1410 sensorless motor? Thanks.

I would actually recommend the sensored motor you saw. The power delivery is much smoother and you don't get any cogging at low rpm. Pair that with the new Mamba X and you'll have a system capable of speed runs or actual racing if you have a local slash class.

Thing is, I only have about $100 to spend. $130 at the most. So what is a good cheap sensored esc?

$100 to spend on an esc? Or for both esc and motor?

Well unfortunately I can't see a decent combo for a 4x4 sct unless you wait for castle to restock the Sidewinder sv3 with the new 3800kv motor. That would keep you under $100

I thought the sidewinder 3 gets hot in a 4x4? My friend has one in his 2wd slash and it gets really hot when he uses my 3s. It is the 5700kv one tho but the esc gets hot is the main thing

5700kv on 3s is really pushing that esc. I wouldn't run the 3800kv on more than 2s with the sidewinder. But your options are kind of limited unless you're willing to trust the super cheap Hobbyking setups. Or if you can get some extra cash, then the newer mamba x combos would be more basher proof.

What about one of the castle 1410 motors I saw on ebay for $60? Paired with a hobbywing
EZRUN SC8? Assuming the motor is a legit castle this would be a great setup right?

Yeah if it's a legit castle motor then it should be a good combo. I'd suggest getting a hobbywing program card as well.
