What do you guys think, use 4WD buggy electronics in it or 4WD SCT electronics?

I had a Hobao Hyper TT that I put a 4500kV 4pole motor and HW XR8 SCT ESC in there, and it was a beast.

That esc might be a bit big but 4-pole motors work great. For racing (indoors anyway) I'm liking regular 2-pole motors.

What size tires are you running/brand of rim they're mounted on? Tlr truck wheels? I am so happy the Et410 is being created (if it wasn't obvious) lol

Hyper TT - old speed passion 6.5 turn motor I had lying around + yokomo bl pro3 esc. Immensely and insanely powerful... but esc and especially the motor got hot.
Motor heat solved with 40mm fan.
I've just swapped out the esc for a novak gtb3 (remember those?). Waiting for an opportunity to test it.

I'm so happy Tekno decided to build the Et410. Anxious for it's release is an understatement. I'm hoping it will help other manufacturer's to consider and possibly produce a conversion for their buggies as well as it would be good for the class in general. Depending on my funds upon the et410 release I may order 4 in an effort to kickstart the class locally. I do have the pleasure of living within a half hour of Silverfox Rc Raceway where we have 2 beautiful tracks. An 1/8 main track as well as an amazing short course track, both a very nice outdoor dirt. I believe the Et410 will perform excellent out there, and if it's half as good as its little brother eb410 then it should excel in many conditions. ☺

Im still waiting for them to allow SCT wheels/tires. The Stampede 4x4 truggy is an amazing conversion and fits every rules except for wheels/tires.

The ET140 was running at SDRC earlier. Pull up the track on liverc and you might get a glimpse of it throughout today.

Can't you use 2.8" Rustler tires instead?

I've wanted to do that for a Ten-T. I've looked around a lot but have yet to find race-worthy tires with a 2.8 bead. Proline bow-ties come closest but they are/were only available in M2 compound.

JConcepts and Duratrax both make 2.8" stadium truck tires in soft compounds.

Anyone here tried running jconcepts t4.1 12mm hex conversion rims on their stampede 4x4? They make work with some extended hexs?

I hope to see the 4wd stadium truck/mini truggy class grow and stand the test of time. I think with today's electronics, and durability of our cars that it will. I can only hope.

JConcepts made (past tense), not makes (present tense) 2.8 tires in soft compound. They've been sold out for a long time. Even so, they were more monster truck size than Stadium truck size.

Duratrax doesn't make any 2.8 tires in the soft (C3) compound and the tires that they do make for 2.8 wheels are basher types.

So I'll stand by my statement that

The look and performance greatly suffer. The Rustler tires are abysmal for any sort of race environment.

Not any longer. The Duratrax tires are much larger and wider than the Rustler "stadium" truck tires.

This would push the wheels beyond the ROAR rulebook. The Stampede 4x4 fits into every restriction except for the damn wheels. They need to amend it to allow the Stampede.

Bingo! 2.8's are not the answer. Allow SCT sized wheels/tires and to cap people from using an actual SCT in the stadium truck/truggy class, restrict the wheelbase to 11"-11.5". This keeps the SCT's out but allows the Stampede 4x4 and any other MT based model that has fat knuckles.

Any chance you know what class it was running in?
What color was the body?

I found this race here, but couldn't really tell which one it might be:
