IF running mod, it's pretty much a must have to remove the possibility of completely losing rear grip if you get out of shape off a jump, or get out of the race line and into the dusty stuff.
I looked all over the place and no one has that brass parts in stock. I guess I'll need to wait for them to come back into stock.

The Exotek Brass C block works great.

I couldn't get the diff to break in right, tried a second time by flipping rings, cleaning out grease. Same thing. It was smooth for a day both times. I didn't have the outdrive issue other's have had either. Some at my track also having diff issues and some not. Not sure what the deal is.

I hate buying extra parts for new kits, but bought an MIP superdiff for $28 and the car now drives fantastic. If I buy a second kit I would go the same route.

Just built my 22 4.0.. Flawless build as usual.. I didn't pick up the stanley knife, reamers or dremel once...

I can't wait to get it on the track.

As I understand it the HRC is used to correct the roll centre when using lower ride heights. Frank suggested I use the HRC, +3 rear hubs and Diff for a 20/21mm ride height as a starting point if that helps.

The above is for grass and bumpy astro, I think the HRC is really useful as it is allowing me to use the soft (kit) springs without getting lots lean. I have also tried stiffer springs and found they don't provide the same improvement compared with my previous car (DEX210).

The 22-3 with the lay down works awesome

I just got my SR diff from Horizon on ebay and there was no need to sand anything. It fits great.

Was going to pick up a kit today. Anyone have a good outdoor setup for a hard pack dirt track that has a loose layer on top? Also any option parts I should keep in mind. Sorry for the noob questions but skimmed through the previous messages and didnt see this being answered.

Buggy does not really require any upgrades. I would suggest alum servo horn and possible the A/B horn. Otherwise the car is pretty outfitted.

I would start with the kit setup and appropriate tires.

Agreed for the most part, but if he is gonna on hard packed dirt with a loose top coat, some weight for the rear may need to be used.

Yeah, it's been a month since they have been available. Still getting a date of June 29th for them to come in. Kind of the reason I left AE was lack of upgrade parts. Seems to have hit every manufacturer. (Edit), I have decided to get the Exotek parts out of sheer necessity for mod. In stock I just needed to add the under lipo weight plate, and traction fore and aft was just fine.
