Default Which charger?

I am just racing 2wd truck at my local track and i am in the market for a new charger. I would like something that i'm going to be happy with for a while. I was looking at the reedy qausar, or the lrp pulsar 2, or the novak millenium pro.

Out of those three choices, I'd pick the LRP or the Novak. Yokomo also offers real nice compact chargers. If you really want something you'll have for a long time, look into Competition Electronics products.

Yes I argee, Dont go with the ICE Charger unless your looking to purchase a 14amp PW just to run it. I have a LRP Comp Charger and satisfied with that. Charges both kinds of batteries snd has motor run in.

I use an LRP pulsar and find it does everything I need it to do. Very easy to use and works great. You can find them used pretty often for a steal also. The pulsar 2 would be nice to store different charge profiles though.

Any quality charger will require a power supply. That being said I would recommend the Duratrax ICE charger which can be found for $130 shipped on eBay($ for $ best charger on the market) and a Pyramid 20amp Power Supply which can be found for around $50 on eBay.

The Reedy Quasar Pro with the updated software does quite a good job on my battery packs, doesn't require a power supply, and has 20 Amp discharge feature built in as well. You can get these pretty cheap now as well.

I heard of some issues that some of the ICE chargers were having, a shame as I was liking what I saw.

TEKIN chargers are great chargers for the money. Either the BC112a or the BC112c are great chargers. The BC112c has a built in power supply and can run the BC112a as well. No dishcarge feature yet. But it is in the works. You should check out there Battery Doctor discharge tray for conditioning your packs.
