Agree. My RS was very marginal even with an 8.5. It would thermal more often than not.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. It looks like only the Tekin RS has a small enough foot print and is thin enough for what I am trying to do. I'll post some pictures once I have some pictures of what I am attempting. Another nice thing about it is its the lightest one suggested. And I'm all about light weight!

And since I am so light I think I can get an 8.5 just as fast as all the other 7.5's and lower. I will just have to keep an eye on my temps. Plus, once my aero is sorted out I should be able to hold the corner speed well.

Another thing I discovered is that the Tekin motors seem to be the lightest out there! Once again I am all about the light weight.

Jjst found out about this one. Definitely the thinnest profile I've seen.

What if you ran a 7.5 with the RSX minus the fan? In a lightweight car it should be doable. Randy Pike should be able to give you a definite answer

Pretty sure the RS Pro was discontinued when the RSX came out

It was, but someone mentioned on RCtech that a Tekin rep posted about them bringing it back.
