Wow. I lusted for one of these when I was a kid. Definitely on my list. If the spares are available, I might even try to race it.

So cool, can't wait to get one and race it!!!

There will be tons of parts including brushless upgrades to handle today's power!

Definitely a gold rc10. That car also changed everything. Also the cougar lineup if they decide to repro those also. That would be really cool

I was content with the rere gold pan, kept that in the box. Gonna need to do a box art paint job on that one too

Didn't the Kyosho Optima come out before the Cougar? I would think that would also be one of the cars to have!

Optima = 4wd
Cougar = 2wd

Ultima? Joel Johnson broke AE's stranglehold on 2wd WC's with the 1st gen of that car.

Anybody have one of the original chain-drive Yokomo Dogfighters? Those were "interesting".

The Optima was a 4wd car a few years before the cougar. Your thinking of the Kyosho Ultima 2wd that JJ surprised everyone with a WC.
I loved the Cougar as well, I think only thing holding it back was the belt tranny, too much drag. The XLS was very iconic as far as Im concerned.
