Our local club runs on grey ozite. I personally run jconcepts smoothies in the gold compound. Tons of traction when we add sxt sauce. I've ran 4 races plus a ton of practice nights and my tires show almost no wear

Well I can sure notice a lack of traction with worn out primes or panther slicks. So I'd say the same holds true for a treaded tire. Now this is on my buggies and not a SCT but I'd assume the same holds true. I know with primes, as soon as you see some of the inner cross hatch pattern showing on the face of the tire, its done.

Is there a way to clean rubber tires? With my foam buggy tires we use lighter fluid to get out the sauce.

Simple green seems to be common.

I'll also be trying Goo gone here as a traction compound exclusively at the next race. I liked how it felt enough on the few tries last race that I want to see how to goes. Will clean up the tires in question and start there.
