Smile New project: Kyosho ST-RR Evo electric

Hi all!
I've got a few weeks ago a new kit of Kyosho ST-RR Evo 2.0.
I've already purchased the below parts:
- KO Propo 30107 RSx2 Power H.C. Servo (Hard Case) (High Voltage)
- King Headz Kyosho MP777 Front Upper Suspension Holder (L) - Black [KHZ-KP-300UL-BLK]
- King Headz Kyosho MP777/ST-R - Rear Brace Mount (Black) [KHZ-KP-329-BLK]
- King Headz Kyosho MP777 Front Lower Suspension Holder (A) - Black [KHZ-KP-300LA-BLK]
- King Headz Kyosho MP777 Rear Toe-In Plate (2.5 degree) - Black [KHZ-KP-322-BLK]
- King Headz Kyosho ST-RR Rear Brace (Black) [KHZ-KP-372RR-BLK]
- 4x Pro-Line Badlands 3.8" MT Mtd Desp 17mm F/R
- Already got receiver for my Sanwa MT-4 controller.

Later today will edit this post and will add the oils I've already purchased as well.
Also brought another wing.

I'm planning to convert it to electric - as mentioned in the title.
Which motor\ESC should I order? which will be the best for now-days?
There's the combo of Tekin 1/8 RX8 Gen2 Brushless ESC/4038 Motor 2000kV but heard that there are some issues with it sometimes.
Also Castle has a new set of motors\ESC's.

Will be glad to get more tips and recommendations!

This R/C is for Bashing most of all, in the future I mgiht drive it for racing.

Thanks in advance.

Post pics of your Chassis as you go.

A good start is a 1600KV motor, even on 4S, its great. Even SMC's 1900 is a decent motor, at a bargain.

The Hobbywing Max 8 Plus is super awesome, I have three now, and they can handle anything. The ESC has a big footprint, but its super reliable.

I believe too, that you can run the MP9e center diff setup with the machined motor mount.

Best of luck, and have fun.

I'm planning to start building the kit next week!
What do you mean by ref. to the "MP9e center diff setup"? the oils or to change the center diff to the same as the MP9e? it is different than the ST-RR? (I think that the ST-RR has the same as the MP777).

To use the MP9e center diff mounts, i.e. the motor mount.

Were going to use a Tekno Conversion?

Nope, the Kyosho one.
Does the MP9e should be better?

I'll use the Kyosho conversion.
Does the MP9e center diff mounting is better than stock? how come?

I'd like to use the mp9 center diff for its larger oil capacity.
Unfortunately i just tried this, the mp9 diff housing is shorter than the strr version.
The drilled holes in the chassis don't allow the diff mounts to capture the bearings the way they should.
unless you know another way?

Long time no see
But my Kyosho ST-RR Evo 2.0 is alive!

I've gone with the Hobbywing XeRun XR8 Plus with the XeRun 4274SD G2 Motor (2250Kv)
Attached some pics.
