Try removing the 2 shims in the slipper assembly. With these out you should have good slipper adjustment. On some setups, if these shims are in, no matter how much pressure you get from the spring the slipper never bites.

I shall try that thank you. I've also ordered a different spring from another car which is stronger and longer so hopefully if all else fails that will work.

Cheers

Managed to get the slipper working now but the way was not ideal really. Sanded both slipper pads again and the plates. Took out one of the shims and put it on the outside then put a larger spacer in front of that against the spring. Not ideal as the pressure is now pushing against such a small part of the outside plate but it is working for now. Hopefully the spring I've got coming Monday solves it for good.

Not the best picture but you get the idea of how I've done it.

There must be something else wrong.

Between the spur and the motorplate should be around 3mm space.

On my car fully locked there is less than 4mm free thread on the axle.

Can you disasseble that thing and show us the parts?

Believe me I've checked and double checked it. Everything is to manual.

I've noticed on a few other people's cars now including Michal Orlowski's that they're running some form of spacer against the outer slipper plate or a completely different spring.

In fact Michal Orlowski is running a bearing against the outer slipper plate.

This is how it looks on my KC @ "can move the spur with my thumb just barely"
It is about the same on my KF2 and K2

forget the slipper clutch! just eliminate it! Run 17.5 all the time, they are faster than mod any day.

Not in my world.

I use slipper only for belt protection.
Using modified motors fro 6.5 to 7.5 in 2WD is needed for Carpet/ Astro offroad.Think of clearing jumps and straight line speed.
17.5 is def. 15 to 20% slower on our Tracks.

Ran mine for the first time today, really liked the feel of 3 gear rotation vs my KF2.

The slipper is fine in mod with grippy carpet. There must be something different with your parts Mi4Cxl.

I don't know about the photo of Michal's car, but with the KF2 if you took some of the plates out you needed to space the spring. The KC is designed for 2 plates though.

Ran with a b6 spring today, Still had to wind the nut down fully until it wouldn't slip. Absolute dog turd slipper, just gonna buy the basket slipper clutch and hope that solves it.

Try the B44 spring it's long and has lots of beef!
