Most guys at the track where I race are using laydown cars and it's solidly medium traction.

I'd be interested in a configuration chart that spelled out the weight distribution. Once the motor is in front of the battery and the battery moves way back, what then? The measured distance isn't really useful because of that.

Basically anything forward of layout 4 and maybe 3 in the highest clay grip conditions ever witnessed, the other 2 are strictly for carpet/turf. I ran the kf2 with low grip conversion a handful of times at the highest grip dirt track I've seen in over 20 years racing and it worked half the time. That being said everyone is on the laydown setup. That is layout 4. The KC was right on pace in cali at sdrc the last 2 days. All the rockstars are there testing and the KC is right with them. Everyone starts all over at ocrc tomorrow. Ocrc doesn't have the grip sdrc has. But i will be surprised if they don't end up with the KC in the end.

The KC layout 4 and the stock KD layout are going to cover about 90% of the
conditions this car will see.

1 is a handful on almost anything but high grip carpet as it lacks forward bite.

2 is the old Low Grip and with the battery in the back it has a dramatic effect on
the way the rear of the car transfers weight. The car becomes kinda sluggish and lacks
rotation. It is however the easiest layout to drive.

3 looks a lot like the old MM. Personally I think that this layout has potential, but I
think position 4 will have better transition behavior as its closer to the
weight distribution of gear box cars.

A lot of this will also change due to the fact the motor now rotates opposite
direction. In fact the old MM setup had more froward weight bias than the
Low grip but relied on the inertia effect for more forward bite.

I would say it will be slightly sooner. Most of the parts are finished. Just a few more to go
