Mid level sct sensored brushless combo
Picking up a scte 2.0 for my local indoor clay track and been looking into alot of different motor esc combos. I've rac a castle sidewinder non sensored in my bash rig for some times with no problems.

Hell, I would run a 540r and 4.0T thunder power if I had two.

The hobbywing sct pro c1 combo really interest me
Has the xerun pro esc and 3656sd motor 4700kv on 2s But looks like it's discontinued or just really popular and no one has it is. Stock |

They really get down and squat (go). Sounding like there isn't much you don't know. Traxxas only puts the velinium thang in there for 11.1v

Hobbtwing esc's are a great choice. Their motors are decent buy like Trackstar motors even more and they are decent priced $40-$50

Hobbywing XR8 SCT Pro. I had the previous version in an SCTE 2.0 last year. I usually get HW stuff direct from their North America distributor website (hobbywingdirect.com). They're the first to get stock and the last to run out.

Hobbywing sct pro or xr8 sc with the 3656 motor is a beast of a combo. Reasonable price and rock solid reliability

I just moved up from a Castle 1410 3800 in my SCTE 3.0 to a Hobbywing 3656sd 4700kv.
The castle was a *great* motor and not exactly short on power. I had finished several A-Mains with the win and without crashing, so I decided it was time I could use a bit more. I saw a few people say the 4700 was too much. I didn't listen. It's alot of motor. *alot*. I'm crashing more and overshooting jumps. Will take a bit of time to get used to the extra juice. It also demolishes my batteries. I went from ~14-16 min runtime on a 5000mah pack to 10 minutes. |
