-drill the 4 open holes from 1.3mm to 1.6mm
-drill the 2 rebound holes from 1.3mm to 1.8mm
-leave the 4 x 1.3mm holes under the compression valve at 1.3mm

Interesting, I'm thinking of trying this. Our track is pretty low grip. What is your diff setup, as in oil weights?

Running kit oils right now.

In case anybody is interested, I tried the overdrive (3.25 vs 3.33) in the front of my car last weekend and the effect is definitely noticeable. I could come out of the corner much harder but getting through the turn to that point was slower. If I wasn't on power the car wanted to push and even on power it pushed more. Granted the track was pretty hard and dusty since there hadn't been any rain in a while. While it wasn't a good change all by itself I think with some setup changes and driving it a little different it could be good. I want to get a couple races in before I try it again. Hopefully this will help people wanting to try it.

I have had my .3 setup with this same gearing for a month now and I do think it help pull the car through the corners slightly better, with a little less chance of the back end whipping out on me.

Thanks, I wondered about the hole sizes

What's sway bars are a good choice for rough and loose

Seldom, if ever, need to change from the kit sway bars.

Thinking about switching from my RC8b3 to the 48.4. Are there any problems running the 6500 ~6700 size batteries in this buggy? Body clearance issues?

We went with 30 pumps to ensure the oil/air mix is totally emulsified. 20 should be fine. Just be sure to do the left and right shocks the same.

I run and sct410.3 and an eb48.4.

Right now for the track conditions we race (wet, medium traction), I have the sct410.3 pretty dialed.

Are the 2 platforms similar enough to try mirroring the 410.3 setup on the eb48.4?

I realize there is a weight difference, but just looking for some opinions.

TY !

I would say no, the setups would be different between them. weight, COG, wing, power. All makes them both react differently.

Anyone use the solid steering bell crank instead of the servo saver?

Matthew_Armeni 07-03-2017 09:07 AM

I use the solid bellcrank on my SC and have used it on my EB48 but typically keep the saver on the EB. The body covering the SC gives a little more protection during crashes and it's a little lighter than an 8th scale so I'm not really worried about breaking my servo, can't say that with the EB.
