Default What radio?

What radio would be a good investment. I race stock mf2 truck at the local track. I really like the spektrum but i dont know if i like the radio that is spektrum or if i should get an m8 or m11 with the spektrum? Lets hear some input from you guys.

M11 are really nice, but there going to be rather expencive. you can get an M8 for pretty cheap now on ebay or something and they're still one of the best radios on the market. Personally i'm thinking about gettin gthe JR Z-1 radio with the spectrum system. But the M11 would probably be your best bang for the buck.

I have them both. I love them both. I'm kinda leaning towards the Jr/KO system. I can't remember which one it is but it's the Synth version of the KO.

I just something else, something different. I do love my M8 though.

I'd recommend the futaba 3pk..I don't have any experience with the m8 or the m11...

I do know the 3pk is convertible to spektrum pretty easily...

Just my 2 cents

The other reason i fell in love witht he M8 is that is is reversable!! Left handers dream!!! Take a few screws out, swing it around, and all the left handed drivers are good to go!!!! I have 2 buggys and 2 truggys and use the same m8. Simply change your model and all your settings are there for different rides...The M11 is great also, but since i have owned a few m8 in my r/c life, i wont change(yet)....if it aint broke dont fix it...lol

If you would like to save a few bucks but still get quality the MX-3S or XS3 are pretty nice units that are synthesized.

My son had a MX3-S and it was problems from the start!!! It had glitching problems, but it was a sweet set up since you can change your freq. Make sure you get a FM radio because i know at my local track, Heli's and airplanes use AM Channels...... Once i sent it back to airtronics, it worked fine, but i still sold it...

Get a glitch free radio.

Futaba 3PK is the highest quality and very fast. Add the spectrum and you are the pimp of the drivers stand

I have an M8 with Spektrum (did the Spektrum Mod in the lastest issue of XRC) with the red Skinz stickers off eBay. LOVES IT!

Was asked about the Spektrum Mod for the M8 so I dug up the link at XRC and thought I would share it here as well...

Outstanding Mod for anyone using the M8 with Spektrum. I was a little nervous cracking open the case but was very pleased with the results.
