FINALLY!!!!!

RCBuddha 11-25-2016 12:32 PM

Interesting!

GIHOSU 11-25-2016 12:54 PM

This one has been on simmer for a while...

oivaf1 11-25-2016 01:06 PM

This is one that I am really looking forward to. I have seen a couple of other threads on this topic. Being an AE fan boy I was looking forward to the B64, but now that I know Tekno has a wheeler in the works, I will patiently wait for the release of the Tekno.

losi b 11-25-2016 05:05 PM

This will be my next rc car. I just haven't seen a picture of it, nor do I know any features. I'm very happy to hear this news.

suzukipro 11-25-2016 05:22 PM

I wonder how long until we get some teaser shots or details.

Is it too soon to ask for a 2wd 1/10 buggy now that the EB410 has been announced, or maybe even a drone

RcJunky76 11-26-2016 05:35 AM

Mid 2017 release I'm thinking it'll be awhile before we see anything but I'm looking forward to it. I bet once the eb410 is out they will be on to eb205.
I would like to see a ST as the class just seems to keep growing but limits to rigs. Tekno would dominate any class they focus on..

nodrog 11-26-2016 06:23 AM

go tekno!

Lowe's48 11-26-2016 07:35 AM

waiting......

SpongeX 11-26-2016 08:55 PM

This is one I'll be getting for sure.

justpoet 11-26-2016 09:56 PM

This is gonna be fun! :)

renjie 11-27-2016 12:09 AM

I'm impatient, can we please have it for xmas??????:lol::lol:

So, has anyone noticed anything that leads you to believe that something is being tested in disguise at tracks?

I can tell you that all testing, as it relates to the 410, has been done in private. We test parts or ideas on our current cars in public view all the time, we just don't draw attention to it.

Cain 11-27-2016 12:03 PM

sounds good. With the various vehicles being made in the 1/10 4wd class, I am looking forward to seeing what Tekno comes out with that will define the vehicle even if the general layout copies what the various manufacturers are going with.

The wait is too long!!!! ><

oivaf1 12-01-2016 05:36 AM

Good things come to those that wait

SpongeX 12-01-2016 06:04 AM

That's true but I had to buy a ZX6.6 to tide me over. I was sick of associateds bs.

Cain 12-01-2016 07:05 AM

hopefully the thread is updated with more info on a regular basis and not just the annoucement to keep people happy. Announcing this far out should be an interesting ride.

One thing I hope they can tell us now is what offset wheels the vehicle will use (be cool if you could use different offsets with a simple hex change)

Are you referring to the front or rear wheels? The offsets between the different brands are all very close, just the tube length of the axle hole is different on the rears. The fronts are also very close across the brands, very little difference in offset and the Kyosho just has a smaller axle hole. But to your question, right now all I can say is that it will have 12mm hexes front and rear.

Side note, I really hope the new IFMAR rules get enforced. Then all wheels will be standard across all cars. I don't think they've released the 2wd front offset rules yet, but it can't be long. It's kind of amazing to me that the class has been around as long as it has without having stricter wheel dimensions.

Mainly thinking about the TLR 12mm 4wd front offset. I got some of those wheels as that is what works for the dex410v5 12mm exotek conversion. Rears would be B6 compatible here.

justpoet 12-07-2016 09:23 PM

I ran Kyosho 10th scales for a long time, still have a few. A common thing we did was the Avid rear stub axle change so that one could use the other wheel thicknesses and everything would fit for any brand 12mm rear wheel.

Any more news on this?
Any peaks?
Just a small peak, come on🤑🤑🤑

Cain 12-19-2016 08:50 AM

with the announcement this far out, I'd be curious what they would be willing to divulge.

I do hope to see some Tekno specific takes on the layout of a 1/10 4wd buggy. From my perspective at least I'd be curious on the benefits of a more inline electronic setup (servo centered ala durango) versus the current way other designs are going.

coombes 12-22-2016 03:01 AM

I am hope same layout as a buggy but smaller size

advpball 12-22-2016 04:20 AM

12 mm hexes? I hope,something close to xray's xb4

Cain 12-22-2016 12:03 PM

yeah i think 12mm would be a given but you never know.

It would be cool if it would be possible to do a layout similar to the eb48.3 . Or who knows, maybe something that allows more weight bias changes that what we currently see with other vehicles.

not saying thats a requirement for me, just curious on Tekno's take on things.

coombes 12-22-2016 03:27 PM

For me to used my lipos out my truck that would be a good thing as I don't want buy different lipos

Cain 12-22-2016 05:04 PM

shorties have become pretty standard, so curious what they go with.

Matthew_Armeni 12-22-2016 06:58 PM

12mm hexes for sure. If you check out IFMAR's rules, there's an outline for standard wheel dimensions. It looks like all the manufacturer's are heading toward that.

justpoet 12-25-2016 03:18 PM

I really look forward to this so I can easily go back to being 4wd only, even during indoor season, when running multiple classes. ;)

Cain 12-26-2016 03:45 PM

At one point I was a 4wd only kind of guy too. I'd be game for that depending on if an entry point was offered for 4wd like 13.5 spec and I'd pickup vehicles for the kids too.

Cain 12-28-2016 07:12 AM

Will the EB410 look into doing 2 variants of the vehicle for carpet and dirt? Seems like a slipper setup is desired for carpet and gear diff for dirt from what I am hearing for other vehicles. If you could make the vehicle out of the box with both options that would be excellent.

cadillac 12-31-2016 04:44 AM

finally :D

thanks danny and tekno. looking foward to driving one of these race cars.

hairymuffin 12-31-2016 10:27 AM

Is it going to be shaft drive? Opens up the possibility of running it 2wd

Yeah, that probably wouldn't work too well. I know a few guys have tried turning a few 4wd's into 2wd and they were not even close to competitive in 2wd. Super hard to drive considering they were not designed to be that way...

Cain 12-31-2016 05:44 PM

to do that I would think you need to be on really high traction. Durango's DEX210F basically looks like the dex410v5 just in 2wd mode. It was super fast on carpet.

RC*PHREAK 12-31-2016 06:06 PM

didn't xray do that? i thought they had a truly mid motor car. i know hobby pro did. maybe it's yokomo that i'm thinking of.
