Not at all, coming from a Yokomo YZ-4, to the B64D, what I liked about it the most, was apart from the alloy steering link, mine was pretty much a mix of the two kits.

Basically, cos I run on astroturf, I had a D, with different springs, roll bars and the slipper, from the non d kit.

Like the previous poster, the only thing required is the aluminium steering rack. Not sure what other upgrades/mods you may be talking about.
Im sure alot of mods/upgrades are available, companies will try to get on the gravy train in an effort to make momey. This is a popular car after all. Are they needed? No.
Look at the national results, Neil Cragg places second with some wins with the car with just the aluminium steering rack. He chooses not to even use associated alluminium rear hubs.
Im not sure there is another model which is as competetive which is as box stock.

On the Schelle hubs I know the 1mm washer is equivalent to upper row on the stock hub. What's the equivalent of on the black piece that makes the link longer and shorter. Is the inside hole without washers the inside hole on the stock piece. And the outside hole on the black piece without washers is equivalent to the middle hole on the stock piece

I've just bought a B64 and am on the hunt for some wheels. I use j concept mono rears on my B6, are these okay to use on the B64?

I'd like to stick with the monos for the front. I understand the b44 fronts aren't suitable as they're 10mm hex, are the TLR 22-4 fronts a good fit for the B64?

B6 & B64 rears are the same. TLR wheels have a different offset. Kyosho ZX6 wheels work and Jconcepts makes mono wheels for them.

Sounds like they are going to release a new 4wheel again some.

Any info to share on that? Just seems too early for them compared to their history of time between releases.

I've switched from TLR 22-4 to the B64. I'm using all my front and rear TLR wheels with no issues.

Kraig 11-26-2017 03:45 PM

As Fabulous pointed out you can use front/rear wheels from both cars, 22-4 & b64. With the front wheels, the off-set might make the car to wide or to narrow. If you are racing and the track follows strict rules and if the car is to wide they may make you change it. Otherwise, throw them on and have fun!

TLR fronts push the width just shy of the ROAR maximum, so no worries there.

Are the machined shock spacers a worthwhile upgrade over the stock parts?

IMHO, the machined bits are a better upgrade for your shocks than the Kashima bodies. The rings fit slightly better with the machined parts since they removed some material on one of the spacers.

Yes. For both performance and durability.

Anyone using the Schelle top deck on astro or is it only for lower grip surfaces?
