Default Alternative Chassis Protector

I saw a post here before about a thick tape that people use as an alternative chassis protector. I recall they got it from a home depot or Lowes.

Anybody?

The chassis protector I have (won't name brands) cannot hold up the outdoor dirt /small rocks, pebbles at the track I race at.

It just disintegrate after a few a battery packs.

Is it the same chassis protector as when I sent that 22-4 to you? I've always had good luck with those.

I've always had good luck with them. What kind of surface? None of mine are holding up well but where I'm racing the cars spark sometimes when they bottom too hard. Lol

Guys I race with run chassis protectors on 1/10 indoors, but don't bother on 1/8 outdoor. I do the same. Outdoor 1/8 scale is just too abusive for a chassis protector to dream of lasting. You running 1/8 or 1/10 outdoors?

They do that when they are down to 1 item, so it won't sell..

The reason being, it's far easier to change the price when stock is low, and raise it when they get more in, then it is for them to sell out and have it become delisted. Depending on their deal with Amazon, some may have to pay relisting fees, but they also have to go through approval processes, making it a pain to relist an item.

Back OT: I haven't hit the post limit that allows me to post links,
but Hobbylobby sells rolls of adhesive vinyl film and you can make several chassis protects from a 12" X 36" roll that costs $4, so you can make your own vinyl protectors cheap..

Use this, the carbon one lasts longer then clear. Lasts forever. I only run outdoor tracks 10th scale. You can even peel it back to access screws etc... and it re sticks. Adds about 30grams to the bottom of the chassis.
