Serpent Spyder SRX2MH
#1

I wanted to open up a forum page to discuss the new serpent srx2MH 2wd buggy. Serpent has recently released news of a new conversion and new kit. A revamp of the current srxmm the company has developed a alum chassis hybrid car. Transmission choice will depend on surface, but there is now 4 different style transmissions to choose from. This forum would be used to discuss things like build tips, set up advise, trans selection, and overall opinions. Bring out your voice and keep rc fun

As for options, it's really whatever you need for the conditioned. Everything we run in the US is either for tuning or just personal preference. The car is great out of the box.

So some are going to install the alum up grade conversions on their existing srx2mm. I'll be interested in finding out for sure how that works. Be sure and note that the carbere fiber chassis (2mm) is for low ta extremely low traction surfaces.
The lightened aluminum chassis (2mm) is for blinky stock off-road.

At the Team Associated Off-road Championship, held at Trackside Raceway, Kyle Gannon and Paul C. made the A Main of 17.5 2wd with MH conversions. Kyle might have qualified 3rd...I forget.

Mine is on pre-order! Anyone have the inside scoop on when I might get a notice that it has shipped? My buddy has the srx4 and I drove it on Sunday and it's wicked fast compared to my 2.0 22-4. I'm gonna have to try an srx4 sometime down the line. I've driven the nitro truck and srx8 buggy and 811. Nitro is my passion and I gotta say they are not an off-brand. I might be switching out all my Tekno stuff for serpent in the next few years!!

Most of the active Serpent racers are on the various Serpent Facebook groups. Here it's somewhat quiet.

We also had a 1-2 finish in 13.5 4wd, which shows the design of the drive train to be very good for even a spec class.
