That's a battery stop.
The car has a lengthwise aluminum tube for a chassis stiffener.
So rotational chassis flex is very good, as each end has a ball end.

I really hope a rear Skid plate like the nitro car is part of the final design.

Don't think that is going to happen. The nitro guys are saying the upcoming D817 won't have the skid plate any more either.

So got a response from Hot Bodies on Facebook. Said they are taking orders from distributors for first batch and will be available before the end of November.

not sure what the price will be. probably between $599 to $629. thats my guess going by what the D815V2 kit is.

where do folks in the U.S. get HB products? I've never owned anything by them and might be interested in something different.

The distributor in Australia is expecting them mid to late November so I assume other countries would be the same?
