P5 Tuned pipe

Can anyone tell me whats a good tuned pipe to go on a Novo P5 rx21? I was looking to get a jp1 :weird:

jp 1 is a good pipe so is the novarossi 053 eighter one would be great for the p5 for bottom end

O.S. 2050,JP-2(P-5 is a bottom end motor, this pipe works better than the JP-1.I have used both.I like the 053,really good powerband.

Xtreme rc magazine did a test and the best pipe is a Mugen MSR 1005.

JP-1 is the best pipe to use, GOBS of low end power. The only thing that should pull a Nova based P5 with a JP1 on the bottom is an OS VSPEC. That is the only motor I have trouble out-accelerating at low speeds.

you can't beat the combination of the P5 and the NovaRossi 086 pipe. You get just as much torque as a JP-1 but the top end power is unbelieveable!

I have run the JP1 & 2 on the P5 and IMO the JP2 is the ticket. I didn't notice any loss in bottom end but she sings a pretty song on the top! The 086 is a good choice as well.

According to a Dyno test done in a magazine:

1. Mugen 1005 is the best
2. Novarossi 9886 is good as well
3. Jammin Jp2

Personally I run the Jp2, of the three listed its by far the strongest and most durable.

what issue of extreme r/c mag were these tests in

netmaster 01-04-2006 08:03 PM

Kerry,

I am not sure; I even forget which magazine it was in. But I was sure to remember what worked as I only run P5's.

I run NovaRossi's Exclusively ! And the JP 2 is a real good pipe ,will smooth out the bottom end pretty nice , NovaRossi 053 pipe will give you stupid bottom end ,but just about anything will walk you on the top !! If your track is short run this pipe with a med.long manifold if the track is slick use the short manifold ,and if the track is a really open one use a long manifold with an 086 pipe AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOVAROSSI PIPES !! Ofna ones SUCK!! Run 1.0 springs and aluminium shoes and you will be hooked up !! This is what I run and everyone loves my car's engines' perfomance , no one except the really fast guys like the steering though LOL they say it was way to sensitive LOL and that was on a MBX5 LOL . I now run a Kyosho because the Mugen just wouldn't carry speed through the exit of the turns like the Kyosho . 2 seconds a lap faster with the Kyosho for me ? and it handles the bumps WAY BETTER too .
