I have mine set on the loosest (b forward I think) and it still seems very tight. But it runs well and the belt doesn't skip.

I run a 6.5t on mine.

Thumbs up

Donno if anyone is looking for one, but there is a helluva deal for a NIB XX4we on eBay right now... I just snatched one for myself still in the wrapper, too—there can't be too many left like this—otherwise I would have grabbed this for me.

Ran mine with a tamiya silvercan the other day geared 25/78.
The shock tower took a big impact and didnt break, bent a shock tower screw
and that was it. fun car I'll tell ya this much, drives nothing like my other 2 cars.
Gotta learn how to drive all over again.

Here is my pair of xx4's

The read and yellow car is a 95% brand new car built out of spare parts with a original graphite chassis. Car is in mint condition. The Orange car is a worlds edition with tons of Trinity Blue stuff and the one I race with. I also threw in a pic of my class 8 body thats in super good shape and a set of brand new mounts to go with it.

Default 7.5 gearing and setup questions

I have a xx4WE on the way. I am curious what would be a good starting point for gearing. I have an LRP 7.5 system. I run on a medium size track.

Also, I can easily find Amezcua's setup, but not Jesse Robber's. Could someone send a link? Also, the track I am going to run at is indoor, hard packed, ran wet so not blue grooved.

Thanks,

Default 2 Questions

Does anybody know what size lipo saddle pack will fit in this thing? I know the selection is pretty slim, the ones I have are WAY too tall! Or should I just go "old school" and run 6 cell Nimh saddles?

Also, anybody have the part number for the inner shock springs in the worlds manual (#183, pg 10) or does anybody run them in the front any more?

I am pretty sure they are the same. The X Factory X5sq used stock XX4 diff pulleys and the XXX4/XXXS belt.

You can run the tall li-po saddles, you just have to trim off the battery mount ears and find a new way to secure the batteries.

Since I only have one lipo saddle pack I ended up using shoe goo and glueing mine in.

Prob not the best option as you would need a BIG lipo bag at most tracks
and if something did go wrong with it while charging ud not only loose the battery but ya whole car

I could see that being a problem at some tracks, but the tracks I race at a lipo bag is not required. I always balance charge mine and give it a break between racing and charging.

I found them, FYI if anyone else was wandering LOSA5080 is the part number.
There are several on ebay for sale.
