15 is a good pinion size for outdoors. For a big indoor track, a 13t is more than adequate. Throw a fan on your motor and go down to a 13t and your temp should be fine. Check your ESC settings and make sure you don't have timing added to the motor.
Also... Make sure your pinion mesh isn't too tight. There's gotta be play between the two gears. A tight pinion mesh will cause it to run hot.

Also, when "Testing" outside... you don't want to run thru the grass wide open. Or run wide open spinning tires & sliding... this isnt a accurate test. Anything run wide open thru grass or run wide open is going to get very hot.

Run it on a track for 5 minute, then temp it. You temps will probably be significantly lower.

What is a good measurement in gear mesh? I have a .10 piece of paper and a .13 piece of paper?

You don't need to use paper. Just set the gear mesh up so you can rock the gears back and forth a tiny bit. There has to be a bit of movement and space in the gear mesh. Just a tiny bit lol

Should I go down a pinion tooth or things will be different on the small outdoor track? Thanks in advance.
Running full speed up and down the street for 9 min is not a good representation for how you run on a track. Actually full pin runs are actually not all that good on your electronics.

202 is warm but should not damage anything. Also I found (not exactly sure why) but BL motors some times break in and after the first few runs I will see a small temp drop. Bearings working? If the truck is not you have parts wearing in in the drive train as well.

This is very normal. nothing to worry about. Ever gear diff I have ever built on any car big or small turned the oil black.

The black grease you put on the o-rings, and cleaning some of the gears too.

It doesn't affect performance, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Default Weight?

I weight the truck at work on digital. It said 6.8. I don't know if that is 6 pounds and 8 ounces or 6 pounds and 8 grams.

Default Charger advice

Any personal opinion on quad multi lipos chargers? I'm running two vehicles in different classes at the same race. I have 10 lipo batteries. I know they cost and that's not the problem. Just need some experience advice on people use them in racing. What brand and model. Like to have all in one unit. Thanks in advance.

Thank you. It's on the floor. Like a 2'x2' square that we measure large florescent light bulbs in for Hazard waste.

Venom has a great quad charger

https://www.venompower.com/products/...ance-charger-1

independent PS for each channel with 100W per channel is plenty for any 2S-4S application. It is vertically designed to minimize foot space impact in your pit space. Ryan has the quad and I have the duo and both love them.

I have always liked the Venom software on their chargers. The balance charge cycle takes long than some, but thats because it does a great job and puts extra effort in this process.

Ebay is the place to buy one at the right price.
