are you absolutely positive that ONE cell isn't flipped? Does the ICE charger give you that BEEP BEEP stating improper hookup? or does it do nothing?

On the smart tray, I don't have one but I have a tekin battery doc which has similar tabs to hold the batteries. Does the tab on that cell happen to contact any shrink wrap or anything along those lines. Does that end cell have a wire soldered to it making it a different size than the ones with battery bars on them?

15 minutes to christmas.. WooHoo.. Just wish insomnia wasn't always with me.. I'm gonna have to meet santa at the door.

anyway, that beep, beep sounds like the charger is reading a reverse polarity somewhere. Take some pliers of some kind, or your wire cutters, and grab on to each individual battery bar and give it a wiggle. Keep in mind you don't want to "short" the pack by having the plyer touch another bar. You just giving the solder joint a good test to see if one may be a cold joint not allowing power through.

I've never had this happen but are the batteries old and possibly one has gone completely reversed/dead?
