Default Is Ofna still a thing?

Everything is sold out or discontinued everywhere I've looked. Their website looks like it hasn't been updated in years. Is Ofna RIP?

Yeah. I've been out of the hobby for 5-6 years and my first real rc was a hyper 7 buggy. It was bulletproof. So naturally, they were the first place I looked today when I got the itch to get another rig.

Is Ofna still a thing?
Sadly no. Harder and harder to find parts. I REALLY wanted it to come back, but alas, HUGE shakeup in their corporate world and they still haven't recovered. I'm sure I'll get flamed for this post, but if considering re entering RC, be careful going that route.

Good question. I wanted Ofna to be there so badly. Imo the closest truck to a Ofna setup is a Mugen. Parts support is paramount. Over the counter stock parts. You'll run into this page alot if you get farther in.

I bought an OFNA Hyper SSe just before the OFNA brand was discontinued.

I thought I was SOL.

Found out that the Hyper was actually a Habao car re-branded. There were multiple companies whom OFNA re-branded. If yours is a Habao you are in luck...

Can't post direct link. Too new.

Really happy with my Habao buggy. I am slowly lightening it with the new light weight parts they are offering. Chassis should be here in a week.

So unfortunate. Kind of bummed now. I don't have any tracks or clubs around me so if a offerings were the perfect combo of performance and durability. Looks like I'll be looking elsewhere.

My very first RC years ago was an Ofna Blazer SST, basically a monster truck based off of the 9.5 violator chassis. I still have it and converted it to electric but parts are so scarce I don't really run it anymore, just holding onto it for sentimental reasons.

I was looking hard at getting a Ofna SSe recently. I think it was about the end of last year, Habao announced they were going direct sales only. About the same time (maybe a bit eariler) HongNor was sold, and the new owner stopped all production to move factorys and re-tool. This was kind of a punch in the gut for Ofna, seeing as most all of their cars were either Habao or HongNor.

I was worried about support, so I moved my sights to Arrma for a quality / budget ARR. Currently have 2 Arrma truggies, thinking of picking up the ebuggy.

Hpi America became the Habao distributor in the states and japan back in 13 . Now that traxxas owns HPI America , and HPI Europe is in receivership , habao may be looking for a new distributor state side .
