What is the benefit of using the b6.1 rear arms on b6?

Just the additional adjustment you get with the new piill system for the lower shock mounting location. Geometry is the same otherwise.

Ahh okay I'll just keep my b6 hard arms then lol. I would like to do the 67mm conversion with the v2 hubs.

The sway bars themselves are the same front and rear. The B6.1 comes with the sway bars so they broke up the parts into four. However you won't get the rear mounting hardware for the B6 in any of the new parts. You would have to buy the (forever on backorder) part 91736 to get the complete rear set for B6.

The B6.1 parts are: 91823 rear bar set, 91822 front bar set, 91821 hardware and 91820 ball ends.

So if I buy said parts from your part number list for my b6 I won't be able to mount the rear sway without the b6 rear mounting hardware? Or will all of it listed fit right on? I have it in my cart on amain and just want to make sure before I buy it.

It will not work because the B6 mounting hardware comes with the pieces that hold the sway bar to the back of the car. The B6.1 has that built into the transmission case.

Does anyone know if old laydown top shaft fits into the new gearbox?

you can mount rear sway bar with screw and washer. You just need to find right size.

But the front will work with the b6.1 hardware?

Yes to both.

Trying to find out if some parts are compatible from the new car to the old car. Example rear arms towers I know the trans case is different but wondering about breakage parts arms hubs casters and such I know it's probably been asked a million time s can't find no info

It does. It will work as is, but ideally, you'd have a 1mm shim between the shaft and inside of the drive side bearing. If you're doing a conversion, Pay close attention to screw lengths, 6 of them are 10mm, shorter than the B6's. Use the longer ones and it'll damage the inside of the case and potentially lock up the gearbox at the idler gear.

front is pretty much interchangeable, rear only arms, but hub, axles, dogbones, and towers are different.

so if I have the rear arms on I can use all the new parts for hubs axles and such items
