Questions?? 1/8 DUAL 7.4 SADDLES VS. SINGLE 14.8

IN THE COMPASRISON OF THE 1/8TH OFFROAD BUGGIES TEAM DURANGO HOLDS FIRM TO THEIR DUAL BATTERY 4S SETUP VS THE MUGEN/LOSI SINGLE 4S BATTERY.

QUESTION: DO YOU FEEL THAT GIVEN THE SLIGHTLY MORE EQUAL BALANCE OF WIEGHT YOU GETTING A LARGE AMOUNT OF PREFORMANCE BENIFIT?

ON THE DEX408 I HAVE A BATTERY THAT BALANCES A BATTERY AND A MOTOR THAT BALANCES A SERVO SLIGHTLY EVEYTHING ELSE IS DOWN THE CENTER

VS

ON A MUGEN YOUVE GOT A BATTERY AND ESC BALANCING A SERVO,MOTOR,RECIVER...

WHATS THE CENSUS????

Team Durango has abandoned the dual pack set up and gone with the single pack layout in the new cars. So ....

I personally don't feel the benefit when I drive them , but I can imagine it. I don't like the esc mount up high like that.

If you google for images of 1/8 e buggies on corner scales , you will be surprised at how equally balanced brick pack cars actually are.

Team Durango also was sold to Arrma so that choice may have been driven by a completely different group.

Serpent Cobra 811e has also dual pack setup and it is very balanced car. I think that dual setup may have lower cog compared to single 4s. Depending ofcourse how other electronics are placed (In Seprent, receiver is highest electronic device)

A single 4S battery car may be perfectly balanced, I run an XRay XB8E and it is in perfect balance with a 580 gram battery.
