teflon, what the heck? that should give even more slip than carbon. that's why pans are coated with it.

Wouldn't carbon shoes with 1.1 springs be similar to aluminum with 1.0?

I prefer Aluminum shoes with a 1.0 Spring as well, it gives me Great Speed out of the start gate & out of corners where I have a quick jump coming up, naturally you are only supposed to get a few runs out of them, but I feel the Trade off is well worth it for the power & torque that the Aluminum shoes provide!

LOL,New Jack are you trying to sound like a pro or something? As for my opinion I am starting to like aluminum shoes more and more. But my all-time favorite is Kortz's clutch.2 carbons with 1.0's and 1 alum. with 1.1 spring. It produces a lot of wheelspining torque.ANd your clutch will wear out in about in hour or so,well thats what the magazine said.

I found carbon shoes shatter at a rapid rate, I got approx 6 or 7 races out of a set which was a real pain in the @$$. After 3 sets I had, had enough, at first I thought I must be doing something wrong or was just plain too hard on my ride, even still they should heve been able to take it. So the switch to aluminium was a question I didnt ponder over for very long. As for the up keep well I just put it down to routine maitence.

dirtdustingdavo: I'm with ya, I tried a set & had no luck with them after 3 races so I just chucked 'em & went back to the Old Faithful Aluminums & have had NO problems since, other than just replacing them!
