hi guy's i just joined RC TECH and hope i will learn alot from you guy's...i have a question i have converted my RC8 to electric with a mamba monster 2 2200kv with a turnigy nanotech 5000 mah 14.8 volt 4s battery gearing is 15/44 i've tried all different gear ratio's with the rc8 ...14/46 ...16/46... 18/46 .. but i can't get it to go as fast as my losi..now my losi 2.0 E is 15/45 same set up a mamba 2200kv same battery etc etc but go's faster than my RC8.....see why i'm confused i'm scratching my head thinking...and i forgot to mention both mamba combo's are brand new.

Internal gear ratio isn't the same.
I quickly looked losi is 3.31:1 and the rc8 is 4.3:1
Which means to get the same ratio as your losi you should go 20/46 on your rc8 if I got the internal ratio right.

Yup , you need a 21 or so to have the same final drive ratio.

I know on some cars you can. But only a very little change in ratio and at great expense ,conical gears are very expensive.
Just get the 20t-21t

Also when you try it make sure you don't overheat your motor.
