Default Lighted Pit Board?

Heard from a buddy how a guy he knows likes his lighted pit board and its just a re purposed tattoo board or something to that effect?

I was thinking this could be something (assuming no durability issues) that could work well for me so I figured I'd ask around here if anyone has experience with these for offroad use (they do onroad).

So post away.

Help me understand. I am imagining a clear material with lights surrounding it, lighting the board itself? Am I reading this right?

There's this guy making acrylic pit boards with a light option. I have one of his pit boards for 1/8th off-road. Works well. I inquired about the light kit (about a month and a half ago). He replied that he was redesigning the light kit option.

Scroll down on the page to see the light kit option on a clear, acrylic pit board.

If you get one of these keep in mind that the surface is acrylic and very scratch prone especially in an off road track setting. A lot of people get a sheet of glass cut to overlay on top.

From Amazon for generic version:

From RC industry made by MUCHMORE around $120:
