1/8 IC Fan. Has anyone mentioned to you you would gain an advantage with a 2000 kv Truggy motor?

Picked up an MBX7T roller for an absurdly cheap price ($120 w/body) that had a broken control arm/a-arm. Replaced all the arms, rock guards, chassis guards, body mounts, and braces for around 60$. I replaced them with the X7R arms instead of the original, any idea if it's worth it to get the updated chassis as well? The steering assembly is super cheap too (8$) and I anticipate getting that as well. Anything else about the R that makes it a better truggy? I guess I'm into it for about $180 so far.....

I have been looking at the Truggy Specific Tekin motors, yet have not sprung for one yet. I do want to do a comparison between one of my standard 2000kv "buggy length" motors vs the Truggy ones.

I am not sure yet, as what will be the biggest gain, bottom end and temps? The 7Te has been doing well with a Buggy Motor, but I think perhaps that can be attributed to the LiPo.

Its temps the truggy is heavier , and you would have to gear lower if you do decide to run a buggy motor on the truggy , as far as bottom end the truggy motor has more torque and you will notice the difference .

I was puzzled finished weight of the chassis, and decided to reduce weight by reducing the weight of the motor, and made from the motor Hobbywing Xerun 3656 rewound on 2150 kV

Up until now, I have had no issue with the Buggy motors, the LRP Dynamic8 and the Trinity D8 series - the Temps have not reached critical. The ESC's have held up well also (2ea Novak Activ8 v2, 1ea LRP SPX8). I can imagine though that the Tekin Truggy motor will perhaps run cooler, yet, I want to see the Torque and bottom end tractability of the motor when I do try one out. If it gives me better low end tractability, and torque then I will perhaps make the switch to truggy spec motors.

Does anyone know if I can use under drive gears in the rear of this truggy, as I did with my buggy? If so, are they the same part number as the set for the buggy?

Was there alot of guesswork in picking a mod 1 pinion for the 46 teeth spur?

I cut out the old coil, make the heat treatment of the stator and make a new coil with a thicker wire, and more wire and more turns

When I get home let me double check the Pinion, I believe I am running a 15T right now. I had run the Steel Spur (E0234 46T) on my 7Teco for a while before switching to the (E0256 46T) Plastic Spur.

Yeah to bad we gotta talk about this in here. What I think is going to happen is me using the 2200 kilovolt that comes with v2 because Tekin and Tenshock are heavy into the truggy motor biz

I verified I am running a 15T pinion (Novak) which puts me right at the minimum available adjustment for gear mesh. I will play around once I have the Tekin Truggy motor in gearing up, and removing some punch from the ESC.
