Default Building a 8ight E-Truggy.

Have researched dozens of threads throughout the website. Have gathered a ton of information for my build. Up until now I've only "built" 2 trucks over all these years. That was a Tamiya S10 4x4 and a Losi XXXT Graphite+ ST.

1/8 scale is new territory for me. I am lost in a dark alley when it comes to proper motor, esc, etc... I've reached out to a gentleman who builds 1/8 truggies/buggies for competition/racing and we have been discussing my options.

First off, this truck will not be raced competitively. It's just something for me to add to my collection and enjoy fiddling with. This being said, I still want to build a respectable truggy. So below is what my buddy and I have come up with so far.

Losi 8ight 3.0 E-Truggy
Tekin RX8 ESC
Tekin 2250KV motor
Steering Servo **(need recommendations)**
Spektrum DX4C rx/tx
4s lipo (35c min) 5000mah
ProLine Bulldog body
ProLine Badlands

This truck (again) will not be used in competition. It's just for my enjoyment. For those of you who own, bash, or race these 1/8 scale monsters, I'm open to any and all suggestions. Any "better" esc/motor combos that I've overlooked?

Thanks guys! Happy Thanksgiving!

Put a Hitec 7954, 7955, or 7950 steering servo in it. The Tekin motor/ESC is an awesome choice, just keep in mind they can't get wet. Depending on what you are wanting to do you might want to consider something else. For heavy bashing and some light water use id look at the Castle mamba monster waterproof setup.

I'd consider the Mamba also....but you cant go wrong with the Tekin in any case..
I'd get a higher C battery. At least a 50.... but i'd go 70 and up

Everything you listed looks pretty good.

I would suggest SMC lipos. Here is a nice 4s 5200mah 70C lipo

I run a Protek 130T servo in my truggy (at 7.4v). Has good torque and it pretty cheap at around $75.
