Default Will a Sensorless ESC Work With Sensored Motors?

I did a search and found conflicting info. I am running the Vortex R10 Sport ESC and want to know if I can use a Tekin Redline 8.5T motor. Is this possible or will I damage parts? Thanks! Brandon

Yes, it will work fine. Without the sensor wire hooked up it will run just like any other sensorless motor.

It will work, but it may not start up well depending on your gearing. Most 2-pole sensored motors have this problem but it isn't too bad with the lower turn motors. If you were trying to run a 13.5 or higher I would say forget it.
