1. Team Losi 8ight T E 3.0

2. Mugen MBX-7T Eco

3. Tekno ET48.3

4. Team Durango DEX8T


Also, what is a reasonably priced motor/ESC to get?

Tekno ET48.3 is a very nice truggy to drive and so easy to handle built like a tank jumps very well

another vote for the Tekno.
For the ESC I like the Tekin RX8, but lots like the Hobbywing.
For the motor a good one to check out is the SMC 1900. I know it's a buggy motor, but 1900 buggy motors in general have plenty of power and it can be easier to drive because it isn't SO powerful.
The SMC is only $70.

Another vote for Tekno. They're built like tanks, lighter than the competition, most unique design, and excellent customer support.

I also vote Tekno. It's been very fast and consistent. I'm running it with the 2000kv tekin truggy motor and its a missile. If I were buying electronics again I would probably go with a 1900kv buggy motor. The Tekno truggy doesn't need quite the same punch as some of the other trucks on your list.
