Questions?? SCT or buggy?

I am not sure if I should continue to race SCT or go to buggy. So I am asking here for multiple opinions on what i should do? And recommendations on buggies to buy would be appreciated. Thank you for looking.

I love sct. I will continue to race them to the end. Will be very sad if those classes go away

it would. thinking about picking up scte 2.0 kit this weekend. Which would be a major flop if they did.

I loved racing SCT but I prefer buggy, tougher, cheaper bodies, better handling and the racing is more clean, SCT racing is usually a demolition derby.

Whatever you can get parts for, none of the current buggies are bad IMO. I race a H2 Pro because the local hobby shop has the parts and its compatible with the Losi 22.

Buggy for me. Tried SC and didn't overly enjoy it. I have a HB D413 now, haven't got alot of experience with it but I am enjoying it more the SC.

Buggy should be lighter.. Everything else being equal it should be faster.. I have a SCT and have friends with Buggies, course it comes down to driver really but when they wreck they seem to be more likely to break parts with it compared to my SCT...( exposed wheels, suspension etc )

I had the scte 2.0. It's a good truck. Then I got the tekno sct 410.3. Sold the losi the next day.

If you go with buggy it will be a eye opener. If you go with 4wd buggy it will be a revelation. I suck at buggy , and I could walk away from SC trucks on our indoor track the few times I ran it with mixed crowds. The tires are cheap , the wheels are cheap , the cars are cheap to maintain . You don't need crazy electronics . The buggy responds so quickly its a different kind of fun. The down side , mistakes lead to breaks.

I have owned 2 scte's , one MIP , and a Tekno sc truck . Ran good electronics rx8 , pro 4 hd , hitec servos .

I have owned 3 4wd buggies , a Durango , Xray , and a Losi 22-4. Ran them all with the same Novak Pulse , 6.5t tekin, and hitec servo.

If I had to have only 1 , I would have the 4wd buggy . It breaks a bit more than my sc
trucks did , but it feels like the F1 of dirt when I run them ...

I just got into racing about 4 or 5 months ago (after a year of bashing). I have a b5m (which was easy and fun to build) and a Tekno SCT410.2. I'm still learning but for the most part can get around the track (outdoor) without too many big crashes. I love the Tekno SCT. It's a beast and is fun/easier to drive. 2wd Buggy is fine but I find it much harder. I'm still a little hesitant because I don't want to break anything on it but it's had some pretty big crashes with no breaks. The guys at my local track all say if you can drive a 2wd buggy you can drive anything. For me, I like short course.

If you've been racing SCT for a while, what about 1/8 scale? i'm leaning that way or 4wd buggy myself. I guess it depends if your local track has 1/8 scale. it's getting pretty popular at mine. more guys are going that way, e-scale buggy (tekno, mugen).

I like the Hot bodies D413 and xray xb4 for 4wd buggy. guys around here mostly have those two.
