Default Buggy Whirring, Slow moving.

Hi all. Been naughty and used my 1/10th Buggy in the back garden which isn't exactly big enough for it. After a few barrel rolls and spins the car now whirrs when it pulls away and doesn't move very quickly, I thought it was the diff that had come loose or was slipping, but after i took the diff out it felt tight still and worked when i turned the two outdrives in opposite directions with my hands. I have a new spur gear ready to put on it as the other one isn't in great shape. I know its my fault for this problem but can anyone kindly point me to what could be the cause of the problem? I don't really want to open up the diff and rebuild it as it was only rebuilt a few months ago and i've barely run the car since doing so.

Thanks.

Sounds like the gear mesh between the spur and pinion is too tight. Motor might have moved when you crashed.

Maybe the slipper nut on the spur gear?

I have had issues with the motor moving and changing the mesh, i will check this as i havent touched the gear mesh yet. I also have the spur gear tightened right down.
