If you are not interested in updating the first post as information becomes available I'm sure we could find a volunteer. It adds a lot of value in my opinion.

Cant wait for more pics of this buggy, love my d8t, d815 and d413!
Been wondering if i should get into 2wd buggy and this stops my wondering

Like those steering knuckles, wonder if they use d413 hubs and arms?

Please do not make this thread about HB availability.

Holy repressed thread memory Batman!

Is this car even officially announced yet? If not it might be better to start a new thread once actual information is available. We've done that in other similar situations and it seemed to work.

When it is officially released (2017 maybe) a new thread will be started and given to someone willing to put in the time to make and maintain a quality first post. Until then all we can do is watch as Ty runs multiple modified versions of the car.

HB does some really cool stuff and their cars interest me. BUT they have a long history of taking way too long to get the product to consumers. And when they finally do, parts support has shown to be nothing less than pathetic.

I made a comment months ago about the other buggy being a tessman one off buggy, made just for him...they waisted two years teasing you guys and appears they scrapped that project? I bet this buggy is geared for the worlds. Not as a mass produced buggy..how many manufactures have you seen just up and scrap a project, especially after the buggy looks promising..this is the 2nd time
Maybe they scrapped the other buggy because it wasn't an original HB design, and this new buggy is a hb design from the ground up?

The other car was a test platform that they were using to try different geometry and other concepts. This car has molded parts, which they would never do for a prototype car. What we see here will be close to what they release. Just a matter of how long.

For all the people dogging on HB parts support, tower now has every part but one in stock. The main problem is the D413 proved very durable during testing, so HB was probably surprised by people breaking the car as much as they did. Still HB should have put the cars in the hands of bad drivers for a bit to see what they were going to break, and thus the spares they should have produced the most of first. I haven't broke a single part on my D413, but I have 2 extra spur gears, 2 extra front tower mounts, and 2 extra pairs of front shock shafts. Same thing I dealt with when I ran the original D4, for which I still have a kit box full of spares. Good driving, and grabbing some spares when they are available make it easy to run a HB car.

Oh mods, do we really need a third thread about this yet to be released car? The other two threads had 70+ posts each. Maybe combine them?

I would so be running a D413 right now and probably be chomping at the bit to get a D216 as well if I didn't know of the parts problem.

If HB could get their parts inventory problems solved, prove it, and get some enthusiasm out there, I am betting a lot of AE folks would be jumping ship. Will it ever happen? Who knows.
I would write a friendly email to hobbico. They are the distributor for HB just like horizon is for TLR. Maybe with enough emails they will hear the racers concerns and dedicated the appropriate assets to correct the issue.

Both Reno and Ronnefalk are running AE chassis's this weekend at Euro's in 2wd. With ROAR Nats this coming weekend and just a few cars made, it seems like they will be staying in Tessmann's and Moller's hands for now.
