Default 1200kv motor?

Looking for a 1200kv motor for my ebuggy, anyone know of a good company who makes them? I know Tekin has the 1400kv and 1350kv (truggy) but a 1200kv would be the perfect set up for 6s for me.

So let's say there are no good 1200kv motors out there and I'm stuck with Tekin (which I don't mind because they are good motors) I want the lower of the two but it's a truggy motor so it's a little longer meaning it has a longer rotor which in turn equals out to a little bit more torque than the 1400kv? I guess I can live with more torque, who can't?

Thanks in advance.

TP Power has a wide variety of motor options, even custom orders. http://www.tppowerusa.com/motors

How do they compare to Tekin brand motors?

I couldn't say, & they aren't sensored.

lol, I wish I had 500 to spend on just a motor. Looks very unique though. Is it sensored?

Found out that Tacon makes motors in 1200kv, anyone have any feedback with that?

And are they sensored? The one site I found them on, it doesn't specify it they are or aren't.

No it is not sensored, but that is beside the point. Sensored is a joke in 1/8 offroad. It starts smoothly anyway, since it is a 2-poled motor. I got it for $200, so just look for bargains.

There is also a nice one on eBay right now, a new Hacker B50 12XL Motor (1315kv) $170

A 2pole motor is more likely to cog at low rpms than a 4 or 6 pole motor.

Theoretically yes, but for all practical purposes a 6S 1300kv motor runs smoothly even though it is not sensored

Yeah, until your car spins out and rolls backwards a little, then a sensorless system cogs every time. What does every pro driver run? Sensored.

I run both sensored and non-sensored 1/8 buggies, and have never felt any difference. But I am not a pro - LOL

I've noticed most cogging during a stand still or a slow roll, I plan on buying this for racing, so the cogging may not be as prevalent. I understand the pros use sensored motors, but who's to say it would be a world difference in performance? So let's say the unsensored isn't as responsive, so a pro with a sensored motor runs the lap at 30.82 and he runs 30.96 with unsensored....the .14 to a nonpro like myself can live with that, I think lol

I found a turnigy 1200kv for 20 bucks, I will try this out and see how it goes (sensorless)

Ok, good luck
The sensored motors are only sensored at low RPMs, when they pick up a little speed, they also run sensorless
