Default Another which 1/8th scale buggy thread

I'm contemplating either

1. OFNA Jammin X1 Cr Pro
2. GS Racing Storm CL-1

I'm concerned that parts might be an issue for the Storm. There are no shop around here that carry GS racing products. I don't see any parts on Tower Hobbies for it.

What do you think?

Check out XRC's buggy cage match. The storm placed last and the Jammin was 2nd place, with only one point less than the Kyosho. I've got the Jammin and I can tell you its a great buggy, handles awsome, good quality and the price is great!

The XRC cage match did not test the Storm CL1. I'd go for the Jammin' myself but if I remember, Tower Hobbies will be supporting the Storm CL1. I went with the Xray XB8 because my track has all the parts and just about everyone runs them so there's plenty of support which is helpful.

I owned the first storm and never had parts avaliabilty problems and GS parts are very high quality, I don't own a storm anymore but, but thinking about going back the new car is taking 1st place in a lot nat. races. two storms enter with 20 777s 15 Mbx5s and GS comes out on top 1ST and 4th. You get parts from GReat planes, horizon or Stormer hobbies.I think you can order from the GS website. And remember fironi makes more hop ups for GS than any other make.

Some locals have tried the GS cars in the past and said they handle well, but most of them bought up spares cars cheap off E bay to have plenty of needed spares. All have become tired of broken cases and other things and have switched to MBX5, XB8 or 777 SP2 now though.

I had a Jammin X1cr, but alot of little things kept me from finishing mains, I have gone to the XB8 now and have finished every main event since.
I would think they have sorted out the bugs in the Jammin car by now though? Sticky brake cams, fuel tank, steering posts, front lower rear suspension mount, motor mounts, etc.

My XB8 is out of the box and hasn't needed a spare part yet other then a set of clutch bell bearings.....Jim

The Jammin cars have a new brake now, the steering posts are fixed, it seems the other problems are fixed as well. I've got one of the older kits and I've only had a problem with the brakes, aside from that this thing is awsome. Can't say I've heard anything bad about the Xray's though, they sure dominate here in Canada though! Although TTR runs a close second. It seems that the Mugen, Kyosho, Xray, I would include the Jammin and TTR as well, are the group of cars you cant go wrong with. I really like my Jammin, it has taken an unreal amount of abuse, for the price you just cant beat it.
