Hello Ziggy

I can't say enough about my XB8. In my opinion it's the most durable. And after racing 200mm Nitro Touring for three years durability means alot to me. Therefore the XB8 is worth the money. If I didn't get the XB8 I would have bought the MBX5. All in all they are all great buggy's, it's just a matter of what you want.

If I were you, i'd go with what is most popular at your track. This way you have people with setup knowledge and probably better parts support. I bought my XB8 for that reason. You can't go wrong with any of the high end brands though different cars tend to suit different drivers. Try a few out if you can.

The Mugen and the xray are almost the same car except for the pillow ball front end versus the c hub. That said, the Xray spare parts are more expensive and usually harder to get.
None of those 3 cars will treat you wrong but the Hyper 8 is still a bit of an unknown quantity.

MBX-5 would be my choice from what you listed, its a proven vehicle and pretty popular so you should be able to get parts easily.
