LiPo question.. (don't want Losi BBQ)

Hi there,

Hoping someone can help me here.. have used search function, but still can't find exactly the info I'm after..

I have a Losi 8ight-E 3.0 RTR, in which I'm currently running the stock Dynamite Fuze 130A ESC and 1800KV motor.

Already have an Intellect 4S LiPo, which I know is more than up to the task, but also have some 3S LiPos which I'd like to use for the weight advantage they'd bring.
Thing is, I don't know enough about this sort of thing to make an informed decision as to whether I should or not... (not for want of trying, trust me)

The 3S specs are; 2700mAh & 25C
ESC is 130A continuous, 760A peak

Will using these fry my ESC or the battery itself, or both?

Cheers
K

The C rating of your 3S lipos isn't really high enough for an 1/8th buggy. You'll probably find that the throttle response is a bit on the sluggish side. Also the buggy will naturally be MUCH slower unless you increase the size of the pinion quite a bit

OK, thanks very much!
I'll relegate them to lighter duties on my smaller buggy.
